local farmer's market. He made a whopping $9.  One of the other sellers
told him, sotto voce, to increase his prices.

Edisto Beach

We're here at Edisto Beach.  It's very tropical, with palm trees and all, but today it's windy and cold, so we're going to Charleston for the day.  Here's a picture of a bat hanging from a branch next to the trail in the local state park:

Great Smokies

On Saturday we camped in the great smoky mountains at a little remote camping spot by Big Creek near the pigeon river:

Kentucky Horse Park

Our first stop was the horse park, full of equestriana (and live jumping horses). Here are a few photos. The first one is in front of the monument to Secretariat.
